Halloween Parade at Jonah's School

Every Halloween morning
at his school, a huge processional
parade of every kid in every grade
from kindergarten through
5th
in costume
moves around the big
playground as parents jostle
to take their pictures, including
sharp-elbowed me. I love
the grand array of motion
and emotion here, the color
and costumes, the little
supermen, mermaids, heroes,
villains, witches, ghosts & clowns
and more. Halloween
in America.
