Happy Halloween everyone!

I snapped this last night right before popping Scream (one of my most loved movies AND a Halloween tradition) into the dvd player, and Geoff popped some corn on the stove! It's my ode to one of my favorite (even though it's so short) Drew performances ever. Poor Casey & her Jiffy Pop!

The Liverpool Lantern Company Halloween Parade.

This has been going on for a few years now, but this year it was a huge event. For a couple of weeks before hand The Liverpool Lantern Company holds workshops so the kids can make paper lanterns to carry in the parade.

Then come Halloween, they all assemble in Sefton Park for an evening of spooky merriment.

This guy was not, however, made by a small child and I did in fact photograph him last year as well. He still looks cool, though.

I've got a few more that I'll post later.

I had a really crap boring day at work today as the servers were down so I felt like fooling around and trying out some new stuff in photoshop tonight as I've never really used it before. This is the result...quite happy with it for a first attempt even though its a total cliche and been done a million times.

I'm going through a bit of an obsession. I went to a RHPS party,as Magenta it was awesome.

I waited untill past midnight just so I could upload this on halloween :D

I am not really satisfied with how it came out,if you can see the layered picture on the top right of my mouth it was in full colour but after all the layering and noise and textures its barely visible.

Took these after the zombie walk, the "blood" was all caked on and such.

I'm excited for tommorrow,I'm going trick or treating after all. I never grow up.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN :D I cant wait to see everyone's scary pictures. Send me the links :)

When she has taken what she needs she leaves her victim lying on the cold wet ground dying to his mortal life. Her thirst for blood has not been quenched. The night has just begun. She hunts like an animal without conscious or care and you would be wise to look away from her eyes.

Beware! You could be next.

My good friend Garry let us use one of his fantastic moon shots for this scene. He is a fabulous photographer, check him out here

So, HAPPY HALLOWEEN FLICKR! I really wanted to do a pumpkin image, with my new carving skills. lol.
This photograph was one of those where lots of thoughts come through in it without you really meaning them too. For example, the 'H' in the teeth, (for hannah! Spooky!) lol. I think I kind of look like a female jack skellington here, bony, bony gorilla arms. My dear pally Rachael Welsh says it adds to it ;-)

Again, another addition to Hannah's fabulously crazy photoshoots. You couldn't make this stuff up!! I honestly was so terrified i was going to set fire to my bedroom. I had to balance old pumperkinsss on my pillow. He looked quite happy all propped up and cosy. The pretty spirally lighting is off of a chandelier my dad bought me for my birthday, which is made up of little plastic crystals.

The actual inspiration behind this, except Halloween, is the masks that people pull on for their friends and family. I am so guilty of this, I am terrible at opening up, and often wear my 'smiler' on full gauge. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy, and sometimes wearing my mask makes me happier. I like to hide, and I like to play pretend.
